The countdown to the Living Planet Symposium 2025 has begun - and Copernicus is taking centre stage with its most interactive and comprehensive presence yet. From 23 to 27 June in Vienna, attendees will be invited to engage directly with the people, platforms, and programmes shaping the future of Earth observation. With a packed schedule of live sessions, presentations, and informal interactions, Copernicus is not just showcasing innovation - it’s offering a front-row seat to how that innovation happens.
This year’s activities revolve around three major thematic pillars: Destiny’s Digital Twin Earth, the Copernicus Space Component, and the ESA Earth Observation Framework (EOF). These topics cover operational services in climate, land, marine, and emergency management, and introduce cutting-edge developments such as digital twin technologies and next-gen EO infrastructure. All will be explored through a diverse set of interactive formats open to participants at every level of expertise.
Book a one-to-one session
For a more personalised experience, LPS 2025 offers one-to-one interactive sessions - 15-minute appointments with experts from the Copernicus Space Component and Destiny Digital Twin Earth (DestinE) teams. These meetings are ideal for technical inquiries, project discussions, or tailored advice on platforms, data access, and services.
The 1:1 sessions will take place at dedicated tables near the EOF booths in the Main Building – Level 0 and must be reserved in advance. Booking is available via the link below, where participants can browse topic areas and select their preferred time.
Book a 1:1 Copernicus Session
Book a 1:1 DestinE Session
Slots are limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis - reserve early to ensure availability.
Join a one-to-five interactive session
Running throughout the week, 1:5 interactive sessions offer a unique opportunity to participate in small-group, informal conversations with ESA experts. Originally designed for one presenter and up to five seated participants, the open layout of Level 0’s central area in the Main Building makes these sessions accessible to anyone passing by.
Hosted under the umbrella of the ESA Earth Observation Framework (EOF), these sessions cover three key thematic pillars:
- The Copernicus Space Component
- ESA Digital Twin Earth and DestinE
- ESA Earth Observation Framework (EOF)
- ESA EO Science Missions
The relaxed format encourages live Q&A, spontaneous discussion, and real-time feedback. Topics span satellite data processing, analysis-ready products, platform demos, and operational services supporting Europe’s EO infrastructure.
Attend open presentation sessions
Beyond the dedicated booths, ESA will host open presentation sessions throughout the wider LPS 2025 venue. These larger-scale presentations are designed for broader audiences and include keynotes, live demonstrations, panel discussions, and mission briefings. No booking is required - just stop by, join the crowd, and take part.
These sessions highlight operational achievements, scientific advancements, and new directions across Copernicus, DestinE, EOF, and beyond.
